Death Battle! - Sauron vs Lich King

Bringing the environment to life for this battlefield was pretty straightforward: Sculpting took place between both Unreal and Blender, but mostly used Unreal's alpha brushes for mountain details. The surrounding terrain was softened out to give more spots for snow to rest on, for when the camera was placed directly over the edge of the main ice chunk in the center.
The material of the ice chunk uses a gentle parallax to sell the effect of deep, transparent ice, and the material of the mountains uses a blueprint tied to a landscape material, automatically applying snow and rock materials depending on the sheer angle that the mountain normal is facing.
Atmosphere, fog, haze, and snow were added using 'Ultra Dynamic Sky/Weather'
