Most of my role on this production was re-creating 'World Bowser' stage from Super Mario 3d world, to use in an Unreal Engine 5 set. After the set modeling was done, I moved onto texturing, primarily leveraging the node tree in Blender to generate what I needed (checker textures for diffuse, noise texture for normals, etc.).
The set was then exported into a GLTF format, and plugged into UE5 where materials paramters were adjusted and fixed to show proper PBR, emissive, and alpha values. The surrounding terrain sculpted using alpha brushes in UE5, selling the effect of a valley, working alongside other terrain meshes we had used in the past.
