Roles: Lead Visual Effects, Machinimation, Animation, Compositing, Motion Graphics, Lighting, 3D Environment
"When the universe’s greatest villain returns in a terrifying new form, old adversaries, the Reds and Blues of Blood Gulch, will have to set aside their differences to save the galaxy one last time."
I had the honor working on the final 'Red vs. Blue' production, helping to tie a nice bow on the story as a machinima director and the lead VFX artist. The story took our main cast across Halo Infinite environments, to new constructs in space, medical facilities, and finally, our familiar box canyon where everything started.
The prologue involved a lot of heavy compositing: from the very first 360 degree orbit shot, to nearly every shot that follows afterwards, every display showed on screen needed to have footage of the past 15 years of Red vs. Blue masked into them. Alongside that, Epsilon, our primary character in the prologue, would go through motion capture, cleanup, and finally composited with Red Giant effects to give him his signature holographic computer look.
My duties for the main movie consisted of traditional machinima, character animation, compositing, 3d environment and lighting, and visual effects.
